Being both an information junkie and a curious person, I have compiled an extensive body of knowledge over a period of fifty years of seeking. Some of this knowledge has been extremely valuable, and some controversial to say the least. I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t searching, questioning, or exploring some alternative way of thinking. Needless to say this has not been an easy road. I was recently diagnosed with an auto-immune disorder and the early stages of Rheumatoid Arthritis and Lupus. This would be a frightening diagnosis if I where in a conventional state of mind. Through my journey, however, I have discovered that heading back to basics and giving the body a chance to heal is the best approach. It is my hope that this diagnosis is a loud reminder that “taking care of me first” is not the most selfish thing that I can do. With this blog, I hope to inspire others to “reach for the sky;” remind everyone that it is never too late to “dream big,” and that given the proper support the body can work its way back to wholeness. Incorporating the right kind of exercise, diet, medical support and mental emotional support are the key ingredients to a “Whole-istic” life.
